Gore Accuses Bush of 'Big Brother' Policy

WASHINGTON (
AP) Former Vice President Al Gore accused President Bush on Sunday of failing to make the country safer after the Sept. 11 attacks and using the war against terrorism as a pretext to consolidate power.

(ap) - Someone needs to get Algore Junior a wheel barrel for those enormous BALLS of his!  The last time I checked, Terrorism is still happening all around the World, but has curiously missed us since the 11th!  This is, in part, due to the DemocRAT and REPUBLICan legislation known as, The Patriot Act, that the President signed after both sides overwhelmingly voted FOR it!  For Dishonest DemocRATS, currently elected, or retired, but won't go away DemocRATS, such as our pal, Albert Gore Junior, there is NO ground for them to stand on to make these absurd assertions about Legislation that they supported, and signed.  Every finger they point and Bush (43) about the Patriot Act, comes right back at them!  As for the Intelligence that lead us to War in Iraq, the DemocRATS received exactly the same 411 as Bush (43) did, and then they voted to authorize the President to use Force against Iraq to remove Saddam, so they can take that one, and shove it in the same place! - tha malcontent)

"They have taken us much farther down the road toward an intrusive, 'big brother'-style government - toward the dangers prophesied by George Orwell in his book '1984' - than anyone ever thought would be possible in the United States of America," Gore charged.

(The Clinton/Algore White House referred to a super computer that the Fed had that collected data on you and I as, "Big Brother"... Think about that, while you read more from the most simple, yet Dishonest person in Politics today, Algore-ligula Caesar! - tha malcontent)

Gore, who lost the disputed 2000 presidential election to Bush, said terrorism-fighting tools granted after Sept. 11 amount to a partisan power grab that have led to the erosion of the civil liberties of all Americans.

(So Albert, did your Party, or did your Party not, vote overwhelmingly IN FAVOR of the Patriot Act?... You know what the answer is, Liar! - tha malcontent)

He brought the crowd to its feet when he called for a repeal of the Patriot Act, which expanded government's surveillance and detention power, allowing authorities to monitor books people read and conduct secret searches.

(How much money did Randy Weaver and his family receive from the Clinton's Federal Government for Clinton's deliberate subversion of a citizens Constitutional Rights, without the benefit of Legislation authorizing it?  Article I, Section 9, paragraph 2 is VERY clear about Rights in times of threat to the "public safety"... Go and read it, and then get back to me! - tha malcontent)

Gore chided the administration for what he said was its "implicit assumption" that Americans must give up traditional freedoms in order to be safe from terrorists.

(Mr. Algore Junior, did your Party vote in favor of the Patriot Act, or not? - tha malcontent)

"In my opinion, it makes no more sense to launch an assault on our civil liberties as the best way to get at terrorists than it did to launch an invasion of Iraq as the best way to get at Osama bin Laden," Gore said.

In both cases, Gore said, the administration has "recklessly put our country in grave and unnecessary danger."

(I see that Algore favors the "Iraq" rhetoric to the "Economy" rhetoric recently... Hmmm, I wonder why! - tha malcontent)

He also said the administration still has "no serious strategy" for domestic security - charging that there aren't sufficient protections in place for ports, nuclear facilities, chemical plants and other key infrastructure.

(So far, Algore Junior's Party has little more than EMPTY words as an alternative... That, and baseless attacks against our President. - tha malcontent)

His speech before a crowd of about 3,000 people was sponsored by the liberal activist group Moveon.org, which earlier this year held an online presidential primary in which Howard Dean finished first.

(Algore Junior, why don't you do your Country, and your Party a favor, and "Moveon.org" yourself! - tha malcontent)

The second sponsor, the American Constitution Society, is a national organization of law students, professors, lawyers and others that says it seek to counter what it characterizes as the dominant, narrow conservative vision of American law today.

(Note the lack of pejorative qualifier before or after the American Constitution Societies name?  This is to leave the impression that they are not a gaggle of Liberal Trial Lawyers, past present and future, mixed with Liberal professors!  Had this been the Cato Institute... The bias in the "Free Press" only becomes clearer with the passing of each day. - tha malcontent)
